■The Meaning of the Expression  

가게에서 물건을 사고 값을 계산하면서 "얼마에요?" 라고 물을 때 "How much is it?"

이외에도 "How much do I owe you?" 도 자주 쓰이는 표현이니 꼭 외워두세요.
